More Monster Hunter 2nd G DLC!

With Monster Hunter still the new hot item in Japan, dlc content for the title is only getting more and more hits everyday. Just recently on May 23rd a new Monster Hunter DLC pack was released which allowed players to dress up in chef like clothing and battle a pair of Dosfango which are wild boars. Sounds like good entertainment to me. If you have the hot PSP title and wish to add more juicy content in, be sure to get a hold of this new dlc content.
Monster Hunter Rules
May 9, 2008 - Japan appears to be fixed the combination of Mario Kart and Monster Hunter. The Nintendo and Capcom smash hits continued their reigns at the top of this week’s Media Create sales chart, covering April 28 to May 4.
Mario Kart Wii was, once again, in the top spot with an additional 173,387 sales. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G took second with 102,320 units. The two have remained in the same position for the past four weeks, since Mario Kart’s release. In terms of overall sales, Mario Kart has already crossed the million mark. Monster Hunter is closing in on two million.
The only new entry in the top ten came at three as Link’s Crossbow Training, complete with the Wii Zapper, debuted at 92,534 units. It was followed by a bunch of older titles: Wii Fit (Nintendo, Wii, 51,851 units), Meccha! Taiko no Tatsujin DS (Namco Bandai, DS, 42,416), Pokemon Ranger Batonnage (Pokemon, DS, 30,675), Bokura ha Kaseki Horida (Nintendo, DS, 26,661), Valkyria Chronicles (Sega, PS3, 24,422), Deca Sporta (Hudson, Wii, 24,302), and Wii Sports (Nintendo, Wii, 21,979).
Like the software race, hardware sales have had a fixed order for some time now. PSP was once again at the top this week with 100,870 units. Wii saw a leap, likely due to the Golden Week period of holidays, up to 71,518 units, with DS Lite coming in below that at 52,542 units. Rounding out the hardware chart were the regulars: PS3 at 10,177, PS2 at 8,802, and Xbox 360 at 1,725.
Monster Hunter 2nd G DLC!

Looks like the new Monster Hunter 2nd G expansion is already a prime target for downloadable content! Capcom has revealed that a new downloadable quest will be made available tomorrow. The quest takes place in the desert fighting three new terrifying monsters! No word on how it will be released. With PSN’s current makeover no new files will be added to the database until the process is done. We will update you tomorrow when the file goes live and tell you where the file will be made available.
Japan likes Monster Hunter 2G a lot
Capcom boasted that it has shipped more than one million copies for Monster Hunter Portable 2G in Japan after just six days on sale.
The latest PSP instalment in the series was released over there on 27th March along with a special Slim & Lite hardware bundle.
Its success makes the Monster Hunter franchise pile bulge to a meaty 6.3 million units sold around the world. Naturally Capcom plans to expand on the series by offering it on multiple platforms in the future, although the next proper instalment was surprisingly revealed as a Wii-exclusive last October.
So far the series has only been released on Sony platforms, although neither Monster Hunter on PS3, nor Monster Hunter Freedom (the European name for the Portable series) and Monster Hunter Freedom 2 on PSP have met similar levels of success in the West.
Monster Hunter Portable 2G is yet to be confirmed for Europe.
