Rumor: Locoroco 2 and Patapon 2 coming soon

Rumors are in that Famitsu’s next issue will be confirming two new sequels for the PSP, and as the title says Patapon 2 and Locoroco 2 are the games. The staff at GamingCrazy are excitied to get back into locoroco and roll our way through several more levels, aswell as use patapons rthymic music to guide us through the game. On top of that one of my E3 predictions are that we will be able to see some Locoroco 2 and Patapon 2 content on the E3 floor this year.

Is LocoRoco 2 coming or not?

Fans of LocoRoco have known that a sequel is in the pipes for some time now, but what they haven’t known is exactly when more colorful, singing blobs would be rolling onto the PSP. The wait is over, though, as it appears that LocoRoco 2 will be arriving as early as this year.

In an interview with the MCV, Sony Computer Entertainment U.K. product manager Claire Backhouse discussed what she considered to be the key upcoming PSP releases over the rest of the year. “The key software titles we have coming out this year for PSP include Echochrome, Buzz! Quiz Master, Secret Agent Clank and LocoRoco 2,” she said.

She did not elaborate on whether she meant the calendar year or the fiscal year, which would possibly put it as late as March 2009, but for now it seems that LocoRoco fans have reason to rejoice.
