PSP has lost to the Nintendo DS

ast night on the Spike TV Video Game Awards there were some big winners, but the Sony PSP was not among them. Grand Theft Auto predictably took game of the year, with other nods made to Metal Gear Solid 4 and Fallout 3. When it came to the all-important “Handheld Game of the Year” award, however, the PSP was snubbed. According to the VGA jury, the best handheld video game of 2008 was for the Nintendo DS. Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? – What’s inside
Nippon Ichi Software, or more affectionately known as NIS, has long charmed gamers with its Disgaea series — a ridiculously complex strategy RPG franchise designed to give you hundreds of hours of gameplay with absurd level caps. However, one of NIS’s upcoming PSP titles is a serious departure from the strategy RPG scene. Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? is a side-scrolling platformer with an old-school feel and themed around the Disgaea universe. NEW DETAILS ON X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE
Activision Publishing, Inc. has released new details on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, whose titular hero is one of the most popular Marvel characters of all time. The video game, scheduled for release in May 2009, coincides with the global debut of Twentieth Century Fox’s release of its feature film, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, which is also based on the famous Marvel character. North America top-5 PSP Games
2008 was a tremendous year for PSP owners, with some stellar titles released on the system. Even though there were few games, standout releases like Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and God of War showed the world what could really be done on a handheld gaming machine.
