New version of PSP coming soon! Meet PSP 3001
Today an FCC filing reports that the PSP will be getting a new version soon. What that new version contains is still unknown but for the most part it seems to contain newer, possibly more up to date wireless components. Some rumours state that it will also have a built in camera, built in mic, and a new home button of some sort.
Honestly I just wished it has another analog stick, more memory, a built in HDD, and possibly some more features. Of course that’s most likely what the PSP2 will contain. It seems like Sony has said that the PSP will have a shelf life of 10 years meaning that by the 7th year or so they will have some sort of PSP2 released as the PS1 followed the same pattern with the PS2, retiring 4 years or so after the PS2’s release. Putting the hardware aside, the PSP simply needs more epic titles like Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core and God of War, and less cookie cutter ports.
